The Federation of Calgary Communities sends this info about a very interesting heritage workshop:

The next installment of the Heritage Roundtable is about homes built during Calgary’s first building boom 100 years ago.

 

Topics include:

 

Identifying the Style of your century home – residential architectural styles during Calgary’s first boom, with David Monteyne, Associate Professor, U of C Faculty of Environmental Design.

 

Also, How to Photograph Your Century Home, as an aid to interpreting and understanding architecture, with photographer James McMenamin.

 

And, Century Homes, Historic Paint Colours and Sampling with heritage consultant Laura Pasacreta.

Cliff Bungalow-Mission Community Association, 2201 Cliff St. SW, in the historic Cliff Bungalow School.

The Ramsay Community Clean-up Is Happening This Sunday (June 10)

June 6th, 2012

The Ramsay Community Clean-up is happening on Sunday June 10 (9am-2pm at the Community Hall). The community will be working together to clean the alleys and local green spaces.

Food and beverages will be provided for all volunteers. Sunshine will also be provided.
