On June 14th, 2014, we’re taking over Ramsay Community Hall for the day with concerts and musical fun for the whole family.

The new Ramsay Rocks will have two main components. In the afternoon the hall will play host to some fun and fabulous children’s performers. Led by the rocking duo Rattle & Strum, there will be music and interactive fun for the whole family from 3 PM to 5 PM.

Then in the evening, it’s time for the grown-ups to have some fun. Neighbours and friends will come together to enjoy a night of funky, fun music, featuring two great Calgary bands. Ramsay’s own Heather Blush and the Uppercuts will get things going with their stylish swinging sounds, warming everyone up for the 8-piece funk colossus that is Goodfoot. Featuring alumni form some of Calgary’s best loved party bands, Goodfoot has quickly emerged as the city’s leading purveyors of groove driven good times and they’re guaranteed to bring down the house with their potent horn driven mix of classic cuts and future jams.

Double Elle Bakery will be running a concession at the Hall throughout the day (including adult beverages in the evening). The afternoon activities are free to attend and tickets for the evening show are only $15 for adults and free for kids under 12. So, get your family and friends together and come out to help us celebrate our unique neighbourhood and the people we share it with, It’s sure to be a great day!

Stay tuned for more information about the daytime activities as they comes together.
