Green Line SE – March workshops – March 12

February 24th, 2015 by rca_president Leave a reply »

This is a quick note to let you know of the upcoming area workshops in March.

Please join us at the sessions below to provide input on route refinement and Transit Oriented Development opportunities.  These workshops will be different than the information sessions held in January. Rather than a drop-in format, we are asking for participants to listen to a brief presentation, and then participate in table discussions regarding these important elements of the project.  All the feedback we receive at these sessions will be used to help inform the final Green Line Southeast route, and will also be presented in a report back to Council in October.

Doors open at 6:30 pm. Workshops will run from 7-9 pm.

Tuesday, March 10 – Glenmore West Room, Glenmore Inn, 2720 Glenmore Trail SE

Ø  This workshop will focus on the South Hill, Riverbend, Quarry Park, Douglas Glen, Lynnwood, Ogden/Millican and Shepard areas.

Wednesday, March 11 -  Cranston Century Hall, 11 Cranarch Road SE

Ø  This workshop will focus on the communities of Prestwick, Mackenzie Towne, Auburn Bay, Mahogany, and Seton.

Thursday, March 12– Large Banquet Hall, Venue 1008, 1008 14 Street SE

Ø  This workshop will focus on the Ramsay, Inglewood, Crossroads, Highfield, Lynnwood and Ogden/Millican.

There will be further opportunities to provide input coming in spring 2015. Watch  for these on our project webpage www.calgary.ca/greenline.

**Please note – Lynnwood and Ogden/Millican areas will be covered in two sessions as the stations in these areas are linked to 2 of our 3 possible route refinements. Our hope is to capture as much input as possible over two nights by providing additional opportunities to discuss.  The topics and questions related to these stations will be the same for both nights.

January information session update

Over 600 people attended the three January information sessions. We are currently in the process of compiling all the feedback, and will provide a summary on our project webpage www.calgary.ca/greenline.

The information session boards are available online for anyone who was unable to attend the sessions.

Please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any further questions or concerns. If you wish to unsubscribe from this list, please let me know.

Looking forward to seeing you in March!
