11 Street /12 Street S.E. Route Improvements – Project Update from City of Calgary
from City of Calgary – Transportation Infrastructure
The City of Calgary is making changes to 11 Street and 12 Street S.E. – between 9 Avenue and 26 Avenue S.E. to improve the connectivity, access and mobility for people who travel through Ramsay to connect to the Inglewood community.
To address the gap in our sidewalk network along this corridor. We anticipate construction to begin in September 2020 and will be complete by the end of October. All construction is weather dependent, and every effort will be taken to minimize disruption to residents and businesses during construction.
Construction plans:
A map showing the locations where construction will occur is attached.
During construction, we will temporarily close one vehicle travel lane along 11/12 Street S.E. to complete the work; however, traffic will still be maintained through the area and no truck detours will be required as a result of this work. Business access and transit routes will be maintained. Although some sidewalks will be closed during construction, alternative pedestrian accommodation will be provided.
When this project is complete, people who travel through Ramsay to connect to the Inglewood community will benefit from improvements in connectivity, access and mobility along the corridor. There will be new connections to local businesses and key destinations such as the Crossroads Market, the Bow River and the 9 Avenue Main Street area.
People walking, wheeling and driving along the corridor can stay up-to-date on construction activities on calgary.ca/12st or they can subscribe to receive email updates.
Feel free to share this information as you feel appropriate. If you require more information about the upcoming construction work, feel free to contact me.
Kind regards,

Ramsay Construction Map – Aug 2020
As many of you know, RamsayRink and Skate shack were recently hit by with vandalism.
I am happy to say that our community members and volunteers de-graffiti’d and improved the security@ Rink and Shack.
Kevin Watkins and the amazing painting team for their donation of Time and Product, to wipe away all traces of graffiti on the RamsayRink and Skate Shack. What a generous gesture, and amazing transformation.
On behalf of the Ramsay Community Association, and the Ramsay community. T H A N K Y O U!
Just two of a plethora of Ramsay volunteers. Working hard to make Ramsay the Best Community in Calgary.

Please email if you are to coordinate and volunteer.

Hello Ramsay Friends
In the year of “Covid” we have had to make a lot of adjustments in our lives.
As we live in this New Normal, we need to change the way the Ramsay Community Association operates and well.
We moved our General and committee meetings online, and they have been going well.
This fall we will need to move our Annual General meeting online as well.
As the event is a bit more technical, we are reaching out to our membership for assistance.
If this sounds like an awesome task that you’d like to assist with please contact me via email.
THANKS
Vince Bodnar
