Inglewood Pool Closure Update

March 12th, 2012

You may or may not have made your way down to the Inglewood pool to go for a swim over the last week and found the pool closed. I contacted Doug Shelley at the pool have been informed a pipe had burst in the basement and emptied the pool. Wow, now that’s a mess i would not want to clean up! They are currently working hard on the repairs and improving other aspects. They are working towards having the pool open again for the public on Monday April 2nd.

Deep Water Workouts at the Inglewood Pool

February 15th, 2012

submitted by Angie/Jackie

The deep water workout class has been reinstated at the request of Inglewood residents, on a trial basis, beginning March l.  The class will be held:

Thursday evenings 6:30 – 7:15 pm.

Call 403-268-3800 to register (Calgary Recreation).

Please support your local swimming pool and register for this program if you can.  We need to have at least 10-15 people on a consistent basis to keep the class going.

This reinstatement has resulted in the morning lane swim being reduced from 6 – 9 pm to 8 to 9 am on Thursdays.

It’s time to stop talking and walk the walk!  If you want to continue to have these amenities in the neighbourhood, use it or lose it!
