Inglewood and Ramsay are neighbourhoods where lazy strolls can lead to fun and fascinating discoveries.
In 2012, there’ll be even more to find, when pop-ups start, well, popping up everywhere: temporary art installations, live music, movies, gardens, markets, talks, tours – whatever the creative folks in our communities (or anyone else who wants to play here) can dream up!
Do you have an idea for a pop-up that could take place in Inglewood or Ramsay?
Imagine lawn signs with QR symbols on century-old homes – just point your smart phone and hear the owner tell you the history of the house.
Imagine block parties, yarn bombings, a comic strip stretching along a block of garages, bicycle tours with pop-up food stops, a community dinner on a 100’ table in the river park, a roving art show. Imagine anything – then let’s make it happen. Together!
If we want to make Find It part of Calgary 2012’s Cultural Capital of Canada programming (and we do!), there’s no time to lose!
