CBC Homestretch Nov 10,2010 Art Matsui the Vice-President External for the Ramsay Community Association talks about concerns over the possibility of a diversion pathway next to Scotsman's Hill. The project is still in the development-permit stage. The association is appealing the Stampede River Park development next week over concerns for safety. Also joining David Gray is Warren Connell Vice President of park development and operations for the Calgary Stampede.

Stampede DP Objections.pdf We need your help to preserve the Elbow River (this area already has high e-coli levels, new corrals won't help this), to keep the pathway public and to prevent the Stampede from forcing you to use a dangerous bypass pathway at their choosing. Please read this explanation and the following map and write before Nov 10. (details on where to email or send a letter are on the objections, sample letter below) Appeal has been adjourned until Nov 19

SDAB DP2010-3210_803 Macdonald Ave SE.rtf Sample letter that goes with the objections above. The letter can be opened in Word or Word pad or most word processors. Open this put in your name and address and email it to sdab@calgary.ca before Nov 10. Please feel free to pass this along. The more letters the better, the Elbow river and pathway belongs to us all!

Relaxations in DP2010-3210 (new DP for Stampede Zone 3) At SDAB on Aug 12 the city cancelled DP2008-3636 citing that the DP was approved in error. (they tried to approve it as a permitted use DP with no relaxations). They immediately re-submitted it with a new DP number (DP2010-3210) as a Permitted Use with Relaxations DP. This is a list of the relaxations in the new DP.

Stampede Zone 3 Land Use Change (LOC2010-0037) This is the amended Land Use Bylaw that will allow Livestock to be located on the East Bank of the Elbow in Ramsay, first reading to be held June 7 in Council

LOC2010-0037 Letter to CPC This is the letter that Civic Affairs sent to the Calgary Planning Commission (CPC) protesting the fact that we were not circulated on this Land Use change occurring in Ramsay

Notice re LOC2010-0037 This is part of the notice that the City should have sent out to Adjacent Land Owners, external referees (like the Community Association) before the April 15 Calgary Planning Commission hearing. Civic Affairs was mailed this after the CPC hearing.
