To our Inglewood Aquatic Centre customers,
We’re writing to inform you that the parking lot immediately adjacent to Inglewood Aquatic Centre will be permanently closed in the coming days.
Following the Nov. 2024 decision to extend the life of the pool facility, The City of Calgary engaged in conversations with the lot’s landowner. The agreement was not renewed due to the landowner's future plans for their land.
Parking will continue to be available in the secondary parking lot (see image below), but we recognize the closure of the primary lot means less parking options and reduced accessibility for our customers. We understand how important this pool is to the community and we are committed to enhancing access as soon as possible.
To help improve access to the pool, we will be paving a path from the secondary parking lot to the facility. This will be complete by the end of the month.
In the meantime, we’ll set up temporary access from the secondary parking lot to the facility, but we recognize this may come with some accessibility challenges. The operating hours of the pool remain the same. We are working diligently and quickly to address these challenges and ensure that everyone can access the pool safely and easily.
